Chestnut Choc Cubes

I love chestnuts at any time of year, they are filling, packed with B vitamins, magnesium, as well as being great source of the neurotransmitter, GABA. This is a rather magic combination for the brains with more H in their ADHD. Also, a great Christmas time healthy sweat treat.

Ingredients:

Packet of Merchant Gourmet Chestnuts

2 bars (150g) of Green & Blacks 85% chocolate

Teaspoon of vanilla paste & ground ginger

Zest of orange & tablespoon of coconut oil

Handful of hazelnuts & sliced almonds

Method:

Line a high sided small roasting tin with baking paper. Blitz the chestnut in a food processor and melt chocolate with coconut oil in a saucepan. Put all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, add zest and pour in wet ingredients, mix well so everything is well coated and pour into the tin pressing down well and put in the fridge. Once totally cold and set, cut up into bites and store in tupperware in the fridge. A delicious post yoga or after dinner magnesium packed snack.
